Nuclear War offers a blueprint to multiple outcomes for a performance. This production will be fused with spoken word and physical theatre throughout. A series of suggestions on desire, death and time, this play is an outstanding opportunity to explore the multitude of approaches that can be taken in a theatre workshop rehearsal process to deliver a production with immediacy and imagination.
From the Direc tor, Richard Dawes: “The title of the play, “Nuclear War” belies the state of the reality that the subject of the play finds themselves in. Things have happened, but have not been processed. Wishes are there to be aimed for, but are not realised. Time moves forward, and there is nothing that can stop it. Choices are made and the consequences arrive, disrupting us whether we like it or not. Multiple realities exist and may not exist. Who really “knows” what is real, what they want, how to exist in the face of certain personal devastation just by leaving through the front door?
The above offers an insight – come along and judge for yourself if you want to qualify it.”
