Katherine Soper’s Wish List, winner of The Bruntwood Prize for playwriting 2015, The Stage Debut award for Best New Play 2016 and for which she was nominated as Most Promising Playwright at The Evening Standard Awards is the final play of CTW’s current season.
Ria Milton (director) is chuffed to announce that ours is the amateur premier of this outstanding piece of writing and that Katherine will be joining us on the Friday evening of our production for a very special talk back.
Auditions will be held (in the foyer) at The Old Court Theatre on Mon 30th April and the following Tuesday 8th May at 7:45.
Rehearsals will be held on Tues, Thurs and Sun evenings beginning on Thurs 10th May.
The run is Tues 10th to Sat 14th July 2018. With Tech on Sun 8th July and dress on Mon 9th July. (Please only audition if you are available for all these dates.)
Medium role. Playing age of 17-19. Housebound due to his uncontrollable obsessive compulsive disorder.
Large role. Playing age of 19-21. Dean’s sister. Works a stressful target based job on a zero hours contract to support herself and her brother.
Large role. Works with Tamsin, playful and confident. Role ideally suited to non Caucasian actor but all ethnicities will be considered.
Older than rest of cast, probably late thirties. Tamsin and Luke’s manager.
For audition, please prepare eight lines of an upbeat song to be presented as a spoken monologue and preferably memorized.
All ages are guidelines only. All roles will be colour and gender blind cast. The director, her AD Amanda Craddock and the company would like to actively encourage performers from all backgrounds, gender identities, ethnicities, sexual orientations and disabilities to audition for Wish List.
